Sub-Standard and Poor

In the light
of global crisis

Donald Trump
exuded sensitivity and reason

when asked
during a campaign stop
in Newton Iowa

if as president
he would create
a national database

of Muslim citizens
in order to track them.

"I would certainly implement that.
Absolutely."

then continued

“There should be a lot of systems
beyond databases."

He later Tweeted
that a reporter

and not he
had brought up the idea

and told CNN
"I never responded to that question."

Though some might argue
it was a "leading question"

it was only such
in that Trump followed it
where he wanted it to go.

(Speaking of that

the database
would look great

as a scrolling marquee
on the border wall.)
